Neat unit, but do they make a low profile or an off set mount?

An IR will burn a dot just the same.

I dont know why they call it a toy. Maybe has something to do with the legality of owning one in Hong Kong. They ship worldwide, so maybe thats their way around customs.
It's very good laser for the money. Not as a rugged as a US issue PAC-4, but the laser is very strong. I've gotten alot of good use out mine. Well worth the price.

It has nothing to do with the law.
The Hong Kong version of the PAQ-4C is a toy. (made by G&P for the airsoft market) It's a great copy...actually pretty darn-near identical. It has a strong laser that will hold up to AR live fire (ARs have little, or no kick to speak of). The strength and range on the laser is reasonable for the cost. For all intense purposes, it's very useful on a rifle.

However, the real PAQ-4 is infrared (invisible without night vision). It's weatherproof and is more robust overall. There are IR PAQ-4C clones available online (using the same G&P frame)...that's for another discussion.

The Hayes IR looks interesting...

Am i seeing something different, or does the offset mount attach to the rail with the set screws? I'm not so sure i like the idea of grinding set screws into my rails to attach the laser, and it doesn't seem like that method would hold zero if you were rough with it. Correct me if i'm wrong, cause i like the laser, just seems like the mount is less than optimal.

Will they have a clicky tail cap option in the future? Is it waterproofed? Unit weight with batteries plus offset mount?

So if you throw it in the sink will it kill the laser? What is done to make them water resistant yet not water proofed? Are the bateries sealed? Is the laser itself sealed? How does the adjustment work on the laser?
