I have all sorts of heads (light assemblies) and even a few tailcaps for surefires after upgrading a few to the Cree bulbs, etc.    I have enough to make one or two complete G2-like flashlights, if I could find or improvise an equivalent body to screw them onto....

Simply put, there are just too many options, too many lights, and too many variations on the same damn thing so that it's very difficult to wade through all of the offerings from so many vendors...   but yet, at the same time I'm really tired of paying Surefire mark-up for what appears to be an average output and runtime (G2 series).

Any suggestions?  I don't want to pay $40 a flashlight (+ upgrades) if there are cheap-o 2nd tier lights out there I can scavenge instead.
