I'm looking to mount a Harris on my quad-rail and I can't get over the price of QD stud mounts. All I need is a tiny piece of metal with a hole drilled in it that can clamp to a standard picatinny and most are at least $40. It doesnt seem like something so simple should be so expensive. Anyone know of any good sources for these items?

Check out the YHM-638 from Yankee Hill Machine.  It's $27, about as cheap as it gets...

Thanks very much!
Gun parts are always expensive, almost regardless of their simplicity. But after spending $600+ (heavier on the "+" than I'd like to admit) on an upper, squeezing out extra pennies for the little bits is as painful as literally "squeezing" them out. I can already hear my Visa wailing in agony, and If I wasn't such a rabid gun nut I might actually listen to it [:D]
