I've seen the prices of charging handles range from $30 - $150. I assuming some of those higher end ones have "brand name" priced into them, but still. What's the difference in these products? What should expect to pay for the run-of-the-mill charging handle (one that isn't junk)? I'll be using them most likely with mid range upper (PSA). Naturally I'd like to get a PSA CH but there're out of stock and they don't list a price, so I'm not sure what a "comparable" CH would be priced at.

I've been buying BCM Gunfighter handles with the large catch off Ebay at about $49 each with free shipping. I sold an old Colt, plain Jane charging handle on there and somebody paid $40 for it last week.

+1 on BCM Gunfighter CH. Huge difference in the smoothness of a BCM. No binding, or twisting. Very smooth and easy to use with the support hand alone.

Gunfighter Charging handles are awesome.

I don't have a clue what the deal with the EE prices are... No one is going to ban charging handles anytime soon... A used charging handle should be about $12 bucks. A new one should be about $18 bucks.

Also no... there is no difference in milspec charging handles. I don't care if the guy says it was made by DPMS or Colt, I still am not paying more than $12 bucks for a used milspec charging handle.

Well,

I've been going with the new ambi charging handles...

Raptor

Bit more money but there are certain serious reasons for an ambi CH...

Rainier Arms still has some White Oak Armormant standard charging handles in stock for 19 bucks. I just picked one up yesterday.

Man. That's some large coin for a charging handle. I run BCM gunfighters on mine.

I love the BCM gunfighter.

If you figure in the $12-15 for a milpec charging handle, and another $20+ for a tactical latch, you might as was get a gunfighter for a few bucks more.

check out the TacOps 2 charging handle. True ambi, very strong, no flexing even with a one hand charge.

CH don't seem to be shooting up in price. Keep an eye out at Primary Arms for sales on the BCM Gunfighters. I got my last one from them for $36 shipped.

I bought one. Then when I got it and started messing with it, I ordered three more. I've got enough money in charging handles to buy a cheap handgun.
