When you pull the charging handle back and load the first round is it supposed to spring assist forward to its original place or do you push it forward to its originl place? Thanks.

The bolt carrier will move forward and take the charging handle with it when you charge the first round. The buffer pushes the bolt carrier forward.

The CH is supposed to return to battery and lock up with the bolt. It should not need a second push to lock it up.

Just pull back and let go it'll drive itself forward and do the work... unless you put the bolt catch button on then you'd smack that and it'd once again drive itself forward

Shockingly to some intarweb dwellers, there are wimmenz who's last name is not .jpg and are in fact quite nice. However, they do require you to leave your parents' house and buy dinner somewhere other than Wendy's. At least the better ones do.
