I just bought 1K rounds of M855 from The Armory.  They guy I was talking to was informed by his supplier that LC has changed it's policy on packaging, and that all surplus ammo is now packed in bulk.
There are no markings on the side of the box, just blank white stickers.  On the bottom is marked XM200PDI.  All the brass is stamped LC 05.

Anyone have any news on this?  I didn't pay any more than I normally would for XM855PD ($189 plus tax), so I'm not worried that I got ripped off.  I'm just curious what (if anything) is going on.

Just retagged/renamed 855PD. I noticed the exact same thing at the local gun shop on tuesday. Right down to the white stickers.

That's kind of what I figured.  Oh well, no big deal, I'll still shoot it

Kind of odd that Lake City would be packaging their M855 as a type of M200, which is the blank cartridge designation. Has this been repacked by the Armory?

Odd?  No.  That would be completely irresponsible and stupid.

On the 2000 round case, it had very generic "5.56x45 M855" on all 4 sides.  On the two 1000 round cases, the only markings were printed on the box, on the bottom.  I'm uploading the photos to photobucket now, will provide a link in a minute.

Hopefully these work.

What's the white sticker hiding?

Lol, not really sure, probably XM855PD markings  I'll pull off one of the stickers tonight.

Gee, isn't that silly.  I pulled one of the stickers, and underneath was "5.56mm XM200PDI Blank Cartridges".  Guess someone ran out of boxes
