Hi,

I just picked up 6 USGI mags made by Center Industries.  Three are still NIW and the other three are used, but have the same lot #s as the NIW mags.  Each mag has "08/91" stamped on the body - which I assume is the date of manufacture.  

All the mags have BLACK followers that look like the green followers except for color.  Should I put green followers in the mags?

I usually don't have trouble with black followers, but the green are supposed to be more reliable when feeding the last few rounds.  As cheap as they are, replacing the black with green can't hurt.  Anytime I rebuild a my older mag, I put in green followers as a sign that that one is fresh.

I'll see if the black followers have the fron anti-tilt leg.

I took one of the Centers apart and looked at the black follower - no anti-tilt leg on the front.  Guess I'll change them all out.
