It is a personal thing, some like them and some don't. They will last for a while, some have problems with cracking at the mold halves, but cavarms will replace them free or for $20 or so. Some don't crack. Some say that they could be run over by a car and be just fine.
Go ask in the industry section. I think you will get what you want there. |

Have you checked out the Cavalry Arms board in the Industry forums?
Their lowers are about a pound lighter than a standard lower, and the new ones are (finally!) in A1 length, and have a number of improvements. Shawn (Garryowen) drives his car over his lowers to prove that they're tough, and they are. He's probably got upwards of 50,000 rounds of ammo through each of the two full-auto lowers he brings to shoots (I put about 500 rounds through one myself!), and they run right along.
