Getting ready to order a VLTOR gas block and cant decide wether to go stainless or carbon.  Going on a stainless barrel.  What do you guys think?

I'm no gunsmith and would defer to experts like ADCO, etc...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...LOL.

I have always thought it best to use the closest metal type for the gas block that the barrel is made of. In doing so the expansion rates will be the same or as close as possible and there should be less chance of leaks, or loosening caused from dissimilar metals contractiong/expanding at different rates during temp changes..

Its really for a precision rig so heat wont be an issue.   I dont know why but ive tried to order this damn thing all day and I keep balking.  haha

Its purely a cosmetic issue as mentioned above.  FWIW, I have a carbon color vltor lo pro block on a stainless barrel...also have a carbon battlecomp on it too. Doesn't look bad imo....although some might prefer the more blended stainless look for the whole barrel.

I like the look of the black gasblock and FH on a stainless barrel...All personal preference though.
