H2 for sure!!!

What buffer is best really depends upon which your  particlar gun runs best with as these guns have a number of different variables that can affect how they operate.  My 10.5 seems to prefer the regular to H in it.  There is no one best.

I run an H2 with FA carrier.

My 5.56 7.5" seems to like the 9mm buffer and FA carrier I put in it. Is that normal?

I ran a 9mm buffer for a long time. The 10.5" ran fine. But the 9mm buffere doesn't have any sliding weights inside so it will have bolt bounce. In semi auto, you would never notice but the H2 does actually buffer the bolt due to the sliding weights.

Bolt bounce isn't an issue with a semi. The tungsten powder filled buffers that are popular now do not have sliding weights, either, and the powder doesn't have the same effect at all.

Same here.. mine will fire once or twice before a double feed or failure to eject with a standard carbine buffer. I installed a H buffer and now it runs like a top.

H2 here, no problems.

With the H-2 are you all so running the M-16 bolt ?? Or the AR15 Bolt ?

I went with a Spikes T2, tungsten powder buffer. Runs 100% in my pistol and SBR.

I'm running a 10.5 upper with the RRA pistol lower and have an H3 buffer with a Wolff XT spring. Milspec ammo runs flawless with less felt recoil, any ammo other then milspec will cause short stroke.

I have run 11.5"-7.5" with a 9mm buffer using full powered ammo. It's just that the 9mm doesn't provide much buffering. Recoil was nice.

My 7" and the 11" both run fine with Carbine buffers, no gas port mods, Ace Pistol buffer kits. I have an H2 but haven't needed it, curious though if it would make a difference.

What? No choice for an H buffer?

I run one in my 10.5 and it does great. Of course my upper is LMT and does have a smaller gas port then most 10.5/10.3.

My CMMG pistol came with an M16 carrier and an H buffer.  Runs like a top.

Easiest answer is the heaviest buffer that runs releably.
