I just recently hab the barrel changed out on my RRA, and now the rear sights are waaay to the left when I zeroed it and before they were dang near centered. Could I have a canted front sight? If so how can I fix it? Has anyone eles had this problem?
        Thanks, Type56

If you just had the barrel replaced then you more than likely have a over-indexed barrel. A canted FSB is still possible though. The only way to tell would be to remove and re-install the barrel paying attention to not over-index the barrel during torquing of the barrel nut.

Well I found out that it isnt over indexed, so now for the fix. Some have told me to just whack it with a rubber mallet. Tried that and it didnt budge, do I need to knock the pins out first??

Knocking out the front pins won't help you index the fsb unless you redrill and install oversized pins after you properly locate the fsb in my experience.

When I bought my Bushmaster A2 several years ago, Had the same problem.  I decided that it had a canted front sight.  Took it to where I bought it and they sent it back to Bushmaster.  Back in a couple weeks and fixed.  Since then, have changed out the barrel so now it's really irrevelant but still shoots right on.  At least about all I can say it's probably your front sight canted.  Mine was so bad that it always short stroked and jammed cause I guess the gas hole to the tube wasn't centered on the base and wasn't getting enough to cycle it right.  All that ended when I got it back.

You could always mod the FSB to accept set screws.

Theres a thought if those kinds of mods appeal to you.

It's a RRA, but with the barrel changed out, it wouldn't be a waurenty job but he still could send it to them (RRA), I guess.

You know it's bad when "Bushmaster" and "canted sight" become synonymous in the minds of many.

Where is the new barrel from?

There is a possibilty that the FSB was installed incorrectly.

FWIW: My BM was canted, I contacted BM about the problem and they fixed it for me no problems. Great customer service, but the QC leaves a bit to be desired.
