Why so well regarded but no one sells it, or just difficult to get. I can find .223 but want to test in comparison to 5.56 for my self.
I just want to pay top dollar for it from a respectable dealer. |

You might want to order several thousand rounds of that stuff! From a reviewer:
"1/2" grouping at 300 yards of 60rds." And that's in an LE6920. It's magic! |

But i only bought 5 boxes to start, got to see for my self how good it is. If a LE6920 "1/2" grouping at 300 yards i should be getting some sick accuracy with my 24" Stag, assuming i am a good shot. |

Palmetto state Armory has it in stock right now. 17.95 It appears to me that they only have the .223 TAP FPD. |

I'll roll my own for that price. Wish i had the time and talent to roll my own, too busy making money to pay for stuff like this. |

Midway usa is getting higher now, but still check there. Natchez and Proshooters, Midsouth, all of those are good. Palmetto carries a good bit of reloading components now as well. Palmetto has the Hornady 75gr OTM for 17.95 100.If you want to stick with the match stuff and the Hornady brand, they have the .223 cases for 23.50 for 50, primers should be about .03-.04 cents a pop everywhere, and powder can range from 20.00 to 27.00 depending on the powder and your location. You can use the brass many times over. I have around 5 loadings so far on some of my .223/5.56 brass.

Palmetto state armory does have the 5.56 77gr OTM mk262 type for 18.75 a box in stock.

They always do. Usually it's already gone this many days into it.

I just had 60 rounds arrive today :) The $80 hurt, but knowing I will have the best ammunition possible in the case of a home invasion is worth it.

I have avoided buying this ammo because of price. Never shot it. I could only afford 100rds. Enough for 3 mags to store & 10rds to shoot. |

This stuff is my SHTF ammo. When my order gets here I'll have 400 rounds saved up

Do you guys think the 5.56 Hornady 75 gr will work ok with a 1/9 16" barrel?

Do you guys think the 5.56 Hornady 75 gr will work ok with a 1/9 16" barrel? Depends on the gun. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. I have no problem with 75 grain ammo in my 1/9 twist barrel, but it really is sort of a case-by-case basis. Shoot some and see what happens. If it's accurate and doesn't keyhole........................ |

My 200 rounds arrived today. Great service from ATG. Mine wont be here till Tuesday. Guess ill have to use my free ammo to zero my scope and break in my new gun. |

At these prices I'll have to call it good at 250 rounds and hope the zombies don't mind if I switch to M193 mid fight.
Damn it hurts the pocket book, but we should be happy to get it at all I suppose. |

Or are you just rounding up from 240 or down from 260? |

Or are you just rounding up from 240 or down from 260? The stuff's so damned expensive, I've had to buy in batches the last few times it's come up. 1st batch- 120 rounds. Fired ten to zero/function check, loaded the rest away in mags (3x30, 1x20) 2nd batch- 100 rounds tucked away This batch- 40 rounds to tuck away Grand total: 250 rounds left. I figure we should get it while the getting's good, but trying not to break the bank. Or at least dull the pain |

Mine has some dings as well, probably just a cosmetic thing.

The LC 09 brass is dirty & dinged up, the LC 08 brass is not. I just got my 3rd 200rd pack of LC 08 TAP from ATG.com. I have lucked out 3 times now...

Got 200rds on the way. It is expensive but apparently the best. Don't think zombies can tell the difference. Had more money but bought 1000rds of M855.

That new batch is still on the way. I do have M855 at home. It is not overly accurate but neither am I. I can do 6" at 100yds with cheap red dot which is not that good but I shoot that with all ammo types so its more of an Indian rather than an arrow problem. |
