I installed a Magpul M93A today and the buffer tube was hand tight. The shim wiggles a little on top. Is that OK or do I need to ensure the shim is tightly against the buffer tube and receiver? I couldn't get it to where the shim sits tightly against both the receiver and buffer tube.

Thanks

All of the ones I installed did not have loose shims. Are you out of shims? Magpul started including more shim sizes to pretty much take care of any situtation, but this may have been around the time the M93B was released. I would do it right. Call Magpul, I bet they will send out a new shim kit free of charge.

Have you tried stacking the shims...if that's too tight you can try sanding the shim down for a precise fit.  That's what I ended up doing on mine and it's solid.
