I have 2 Dewey Rods and one is peeling bad and the other is starting to also. I'm thinking of trying a Carbon Fiber rod and was wondering if they are easy on the bore? Are these safe to use as much as a coated rod? Thank you!!!!

My thinking on the carbon fiber rods is that they are like a coated rod, if you subscribe to the theory that a coated rod can get particles embedded in it and cause wear on the muzzle and rifling, so will a carbon fiber rod. I personally prefer an uncoated stainless steel rod and a rod guide for my competition rifles, for my plinkers, I use a pull-thru.
