I was wondering what do you guys think about the command arms vs. magpul moe buttstock?. This is my first build. Just wanted your opionions between the 2 or if you had any other suggestions.

Here's the link to my local ffl dealer who is selling the buttstock:

Although the command arms isn't a bad stock I would definitely have to go with the MOE.

Had a command arms, not a bad stock at all. It has a commercial buffer tube if that's an issue. I run an LMT now. Between those two I would go with the Magpul. Mil-spec tube and those guys DO serious R&D.

I have the same CAA stock, and it's a good stock, nothing wrong with it. I still think the MOE would be a better choice.

how about the CTR. They look the same but i guess the ctr has a friction lock whatever that does for the ar.
I also noticed on the website (magpul) sells both commercial and milspec? Any differences?

What about VLTOR? How does that compare to CTR? Does the emod version has the different butt positioning. I was on the website but it didn't specify if it had the different positioning. I also noticed they offered a commercial and milspec version as well.

They also offer different kits for the VLTOR: basic emod combo kit comes with:" (EMOD Kit and receiver extension tube (milspec), buffer and spring, lock plate and nut) for $196
and Basic emod kit ;"(EMOD stock, battery compartments, butt/strike plate)" for $125.

Are those kits really needed?

Is any of the stock mention, are they pretty light in weight?

The CAA stuff that's made in China? (They can say Israel all they want, I've seen some of their stuff with the "made in china" stickers still attached)

MOE easily. There's no contest.

I would get the MOE for sure or better yet get the CTR

This is even a question?

Yep both 10x better than the CAA.

FTW

+1 If you need more features like more solid fit of the friction lock and QD sling swivel mount take a look at the Magpul CTR.

I got a good deal on a CAA stock so I tried it on a build. I liked it just as much as anything else. That said I'd still take the MOE but it isn't overwhelmingly better.

I tried one of CCA grips too and have to say I like it as much as the MIAD. Feels great. The MIAD has more bells and whistles though.

Magpul without even the slightest shadow if doubt.

I have a CAA and like it. The storage is nice. If you have no need for it, Magpul makes a nice product.

What about the milspec or the commercial version? What is the difference between the 2?

As for VLTOR, It seems they have different kits basic and a combo kit. VLTOR also has options for milspec or commercial.

I was wondering if the the CTR also comes with a kit. Does the EMOD has the capability to have the QD sling swivel on the stock?
Also, is the CTR capable of attaching a QD swivel kit on it's stocks?

Is the difference between the emod and the regular is, that the emod has the storage capability?

Need some info, cause just bought my upper and i need to start buying this for the ar to complete the rest of it.
