7.62x39 ..."We are also working on this for the military"

Humm…  The US Military must be using cost cutting measures using up some of that 7.62x39 that they found in Iraq? Plus 7.62x39 probably has a bit more punch to go through heavy objects (i.e. car/truck doors)

With the cost of 5.56x45/.223 continuing to go up, it would be nice to have a reliable 7.62x39 AR that's more affordable to shoot.

One more reason to add another AR to the collection, darn you C Products.

So, Larry, since there has been a delay in shipment, does this mean that you are going to extend your sale?  hug.gif

If your 7.62x39 mags are as reliable (and almost the same price) as your other mags that I have purchased, I WILL have to get me a 7.62x39 upper for my AR

I figured I would go right to the source for this:

Are the new CP mag bodies for sale date stamped or "LEO Only", etc.? I live in NY and am planning on getting a few replacement bodies for my mags. According to the NY case law this is legal, but Im still a bit leery about putting a post ban dated mag body together.

Hi Larry, just wanted to let you know I recieved the backordered SS mags today, March 24, 2006.  They look good, and seem like a good deal for the money.  I can't wait to try them out.  Thanks,

lumper.

I'm assuming that the Colt 9mm mags are going to have the bolt hold open feature on the follower?
Are you planning on having metal or plastic followers?
I have both the old and new style factory Colt 9mm mags.
I prefer the older metal followers but I also prefer the angle of the new plastic followers.
The older Colt mags also had legs to prevent tilting but the angle of the follower was bad.
I think a metal follower which had legs and was straight like the new followers would be the ultimate setup.

Also how are the 7.62x39 mags coming along?

I just noticed you guys are in FL, do you you have a store front?  Or do you guys go to any of the gun shows?

Thanks!!

Got my five SS mags today.   They look FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!  I won't get to test them for a while, so I'll leave that to others, but they look and fit great.  OK, all you with some time to do some shooting let me know if I have any surprises (which I strongly doubt) so can I go ahead and order the 6.8 mags!

eta:
I did some work with the mags tonight and noticed that all 5 of my mags had very sharp edges along the weld line (which I first noticed when that edge sliced my finger!). Also, all of them had burrs that would cut you if you were not careful. I presume that the metal when sheared during forming left a razor edge along the front and rear edges and at each weld spot there was a flashing thrown out from under the seam between the top and bottom halves in the weld area. These little burrs would catch the cloth I was using to wipe them down with then stick up like little ice picks waiting to get you good the next time you ran your hand down them, that is if the knife edge along the mag seam did not get you first. A little work with some 220 grit wet/dry got rid of the knife edge and the little shards at the welds could be raised with a small knife blade then broken off and dressed with the paper. However, that dressing also removed the finish from the mags in those areas, not that finish is that big a deal.
The mags other than this seem very nice but I still have not live fired them yet which I expect no further problems. Fit and feed with dummies is fine. However, this knife edge and weld burrs is something that caused a little cussing and blood shed and is not something I have encountered with aluminum mags or the PRI/DPMS steel mags.
Has anyone else noticed this knife edge and burrs on their mags?

OMG   7.62x39, 9mm & 6.8 Ya gonna put me in a lower level of the poor house than the one im already in.

Larry,
If you ever need a QC tester for the 9mm & 7.62 mags, I would be happy to get a few & put them thru their paces & report back. Im not too far(45 minutes) from your mfg site.

+1
I may have to go buy a 9mm now . . . .

I may have to sell my Hahn Top loader and get a Hahn bottom loader, then SBR another reciever as a dedicated 9mm instead of the multi caliber use the SBR I have now is getting.
