There is a guy selling Colt forgings on ebay.
Look real close at the spot where the rear detent would be.
See that small line just under the reinforcing. Colt is the only ones I have seen with this line

This one here is a eagle Arms see the difference.

My 2 RRA lowers have that, my Bushmaster has that as well my Colt.
The only AR I have that doesn't have it is my old Coal Valley Eagle Arms.
I would think that is standard in all forgings.
How prominent it is depends on final milling and finishing, I would guess.

No semiauto Colt I have ever seen or owned has "fire" and "safe" on the right (ejection port) side.

Here is a pic from that auction:

Here is one of my Colts for comparison:

Well that’s a new on me.
Do you have the new logo RRA or the old?
My old logo one didn’t have it or my Bushmaster or DPMS or Stag or Eagle arms.

Actually yes, they do. Here is one of my Rock River A2 CARs:

A forging is just that, a forging. You cannot identify a brand name like RRA, Bushy, Colt etc based solely on the characterisitics or markings of a raw forging. One exception is when an AR manufacturer uses their own identification mark in addition to the regular forging identification mark. Colt does this with a "C" on many of their uppers for example:

Colt upper from Cerro forge:

Colt upper from Alcoa forge:

That eBay lower looks like a CMT (Continental Machine) forging. They are very common and in widespread use by a number of AR manufacturers, but Colt doesn't happen to be one of them.

I had to cut and paste Supra's pics into a new browser window.

Are mine showing up?

Where does Colt get their forgings from?

I know that Colt was using Cerro uppers in A2 and A3 model.
I got a Colt MT6601 from a guy that has a C and the little key hole symbol up by the rear sight.
