I received this package via UPS Brown this morning.  I couldn't do much more
than enjoy the craftsmanship that went into this new conversion. Not a good day to
go to the range. Nice, Very Nice Conversion Assembly.. I do have a picture...
It came complete with forward assist... The Brass part that looks like the front of a
5.56 bolt assembly actually locks the unit in place for a much more stable and solid
conversion bolt assembly..

Looks real interesting. CMMG just keeps out doing their selves. While others sit back they move ahead. I am interested in seeing how this works. The chamber lock should make a difference as it holds everything precisely in place. Many conversion users have had issues as they were not locked fully forward. This should never happen with this design.

It's very solid when locked in. It has a tension washer that keeps it locked in.

These conversion units are designed to work with the Bolt Hold Open
installed. The BHO maintains the locking lugs position and holds the
conversion unit in place, Rock Solid.

I talked with CMMG today and we'll all need to come to one conclusion.
The thinking up and development of new products for this Evolution Line
isn't going to stop any time soon.... CMMG's on a Major Roll and little
by little, we're gonna see things that are going to leave us Totally Amazed..
I can't keep up but it's sure fun trying.....

CMMG, you guys are hard to keep up with. Where do all these ideas come from?

I look forward to the Spring Machine Gun Shoot at Knob Creek where I caught up with you guys last year. I would tell "everyone within the sound of my voice" to make sure to stop by the Machine Gun Shoot in April. Bring your cash and your credit cards folks, get ready to spend! Too much great stuff on the tables to walk away from. I have never been to one yet where I didn't bring home some great new toys.

And John, thanks again for everything. You guys are great.

You nailed it here.  Less movement means better reliability.  We learned that lesson when building dedicated uppers.  It also acts as a child's safety cap.   This will be especially useful when full auto parts are used.  Trainers won't have to worry as much about trainees breaking host gun open and having parts go everywhere. Less down time makes for a better day at the range.

I would like to think our kits are plenty reliable with out this addition but it seems there is always something just a little more that can be done...

John

Are you guys making an AWB version of your dedicated 22-cal uppers with no bayo lug and the comp welded/pinned? That would be a nice prize for us guys living the in the commie states.

Is the twist lock something that can be added to an existing conversion Kit?
Link Posted: 2/2/2011 3:19:06 PM EDT

The twist lock comes with the chamber adapter. You would have to change the whole chamber adapter but I beleive they will be available after our testing.
The more I use it, the more I like it. Very stable. And it works very well with the BHOA.
