depending on what brand you get, my RRA 4 pos CAR stock and my CMT mil-spec 6 pos M4 stock have a little wiggle (m4 a little more than the CAR), but not too much

So is the wiggle normal then? Cuz I thought mine was a little too much. And what do you use for a heat source. Also, what kind of tool do you crush with. Does this procedure leave marks/ugliness on my beautiful AR?

it is normal to have some play in the stock. I have a $150 Colt M4 stock and it has a good bit of play in it. You could use a hair dryer or heat gun and place it in a vice. I quess you could pad the vice if you wanted. Heat up the stock and then gently close the vice. Just do a little at a time it's easier to do it more than to undo it
