Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bushnell vs. EOTech

I am new to holographic sights and wanting to buy to put on my AR 15...Have been comparing the difference in sights between Bushnell vs. EoTech...only difference I am seeing is the protective hood on the EOTechs...Can someone assist my understanding with the differences between these two holographic sights...Thanks...

The Bushnell I have is similar to the Eotech 512 (AA model, no NV capability).  There was also a N battery version similar to the Eotech 511.

The only difference I see is the "hood" or "rollcage".  Some have mentioned water proofing depth, but I don't go scuba diving with mine.
