Is it possible to thread a Bushmaster Superlite Barrel?

I don't think so, the diameter at the end of the barrel is too small.

I have seen ones that come threaded.

wanna know too cause i also have a superlight barrel that needs to be threaded.

the ones that are threaded are built up behind the threads sorta like a shoulder for the flashider.

im just going to order a new bushie barrel and thread the old one later.

btw eagle has them for a fair price

Mini Y can be taken off and a Phantom or Vortex must be permanently attached in its place to make the barrel over the 16" NFA limit.

Barrel diameter must be at least 0.498" to have enough meat there to thread. I don't know what the diameter of the superlights are at the muzzle, so I can't say for sure whether they can be threaded or not.

Just picked up my two postban Bushmaster superlight barrels from the machine shop. Had them threaded. It's not a problem just watch that you don't push the small step on the barrel back when installing a flashider. mine were threaded 1/2X28 and .625 long. They work great with new Vortex's installed.

The "pre-ban" barrels did come threaded, but the neutered superlights were turned down at the muzzle. It's not impossible th re-thread, but the shoulder that the washer/flash suppressor tighten against are gone.

IIRC, KKF has successfully gotten around this by making an adapter of some sort.
