All:

I saw that Aim Surplus has new Bushmaster M4A3's for $999.  The website doesn't say if it has a heavy barrel or not.  Gander Mountain is also advertising a Bushmaster M4A3 with a heavy barrel that weighs in at 7.6 lbs, a little heavy for my taste.  Barrel length on both rifles is 16" plus a flash hider.  Do all Bushmaster M4A3's have a heavy barrel, or just some of them?

Mine has the regular barrel with the notch for mounting an M203.

So, does a company like Bushmaster release different variants of their M4A3 model?  You know, bayo lug, cut out for M203, heavy vs. standard barrel, chromed barrel vs. non-chromed?

Seems to me that if they're calling it an M4-type, it really ought to have the 203 cutout.

Yeah they have the M4 cut out. They do make MANY different models due to the size of the company. I had a HB Bushie that was fantastic. Wish I still had it.
