I was on Bushmaster's website looing at their Carbon 15. How about some opinions on these regarding reliability, etc.

I have a bushmaster car 15 and I wouldnt recommend it. At first it was a great rifle but it has been jamming up every two or three rounds. The Star chamber seems to be to sharp to take the rounds and they get stuck while being fed

Most opinions here have been negative

With some remarks being "un-printable" on a family oriented website.

If you haven't already bought one, I recommend passing on them.

I was ready to buy one for SHEISLEGEND. My HBAR is too front heavy for her liking. After researching a little and asking questions and reading on here a lot I decided to go a different route.

I just got a RRA lower receiver and I ordered a Bushmaster superlight upper. I am building her a nice, light carbine but a real AR.

Sounds like Bushmaster helped hammer out the kinks in the design.

I can only say good things about the Carbon 15. Never expereinced a feeding problem - NONE. It LOVES wally world 40 round value packs of FMJ. Eats em for desert and spits them out in a tight group. Built in 2004. Wonderful gun as far as I'm concerned. YMMV.
