Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bushmaster 2 stage competition trigger

I recently purchased a Bushmaster Varmint Special. After a round is chambered and I pull the trigger, there is about 3/16" resistance free pull followed by a light pull to letoff. Is this correct?

yes this is correct. also you can send your lower to BM for a free trigger job, I did, first stage is butter smooth, second breaks like glass. They set it a 4.5 pull but you can adjust it down to 3, I never did, it breaks perfect for me.
