Was able to pick one up new (from a site sponsor, no less) with the 5.56 reticle.

I'm anxious to get this mounted and zeroed. It will be replacing a Vortex Strike Eagle on my Run n' Gun carbine. Most targets are from 25-500 yards at these competitions. The Strike Eagle has performed pretty well, but I think I need an upgrade.

Thoughts on this scope or the XTR II series in general?

As long as it functions fine that is a fantastic deal OP. There's been a member or two that posted images of them and they look like solid scopes.
