When you manually eject a live round out of the chamber, the ejector on the bolt will kick the right hand side of the bullet tip off the right hand lug in the barrel extension, which cause a long scrap down the bullet its self.

Also, until the rifle breaks in, there may be some burs at the end of the feed ramps that can scrap the bullet tips on loading.

Bottom line is that hand cycling out live ammo will produce scrap marks on the tips, and in regards to the feed ramp burs, in time they will be removed/polished out threw live fire/cleaning during break in.
