Hi All - Brand new to the forum

I have a Double Star 16" carbine.  I'd like to get a 20" or longer bull barrel for shooting heavier bullets at coyotes, pigs, maybe even deer.
I'd appreciate some opinions on manufacturers.  I'd like to buy a complete upper assembly, and keep the cost below $700.
Possible?
Thanks!

223 wylde chamber is what I recommend 1:7 or 1:8

With your budget I would check Bravo or White Oak Armt or maybe a RRA predator upper

But if you want to spend less I don't think you would go wrong checking PSA, J&T, M&A, Model 1, DPMS

And I'm sure there are plenty of names you can add to both those lists.

IMHO, with what you are willing to spend, I would just build a complete rifle. Get a complete kit from one of the bottom companies and a lower. One is none, two is the new one.
