We have about 5 students waiting for bushmaster barrels...so we decided to start gunkoting and building what we could.

here is part of todays acomplishment.  Custom Mixed OD gunkote.  this rig is planned to be paired up with a bushy Superlight bbl.

We then looked around us and realized how many ARs we had within reach...so decided to take a group pic...All of these rifles have been assembled and refinished at the Dental School Arfcom Chapter Headquarters (Justy's House).

Are those camo jobs for real?  How'd ya do that???

edit:  I had to keep looking at those.  Wrap 'em in netting or something between sprays?

The camo jobs are actually a lot more subdued, the coloring in the pictures does not do them justice.  The stag lower refinished in green looks much more brown in the pictures that what it really is.  ARin thanks for the post and hosting the pics.

Camo jobs were done in Dura kote over gun kote for extra durability over conventional paint

resq, the second picture, 2nd reciever from the left...is the same gun, and a little more representative of the way it really looks.

Do you call that a snakeskin camo, or fishnet stocking camo?  Either way, it is the most unique design I've ever seen and I think we all need a good step-by-step on how it's done.

Super cool, dude, and we gotta know!

I'm working on my first EBR and can't wait to start the second.  It's pictures like this that really show just how much variation there can be.  Don't know if that's a good thing, though!

I remember seeing a how to on this cool camo. Can't remember when or where but you might want to do a search.

I got most of my ideas from these guys at HD rifles.  They look like they do really nice work. www.hdrifle.com/photos/index.php?sessionid=33f4e7739587bd134783d4c7aef72d52
