Does the buffer retainer pin, spring, backing plate spring come in a lower parts kit or do I buy them with a buffer tube kit?

Every LPK I have ever bought had those, buffer retainer, buffer retainer spring, and both the pivot(front) and takedown (rear) detent springs.

example Daniel Defense LPK

Common stock kit
stock body, receiver extension, buffer, recoil spring, castle nut, end plate.

Correct, those come in the LPK. Buffer tube kits will typically have a buffer tube, end plate, castle nut, buffer, spring, and stock. Those last three may or may not be included, depending on the kit.

Cool. H2 or H buffer for a 16" mid length?

Trial and error. H is the safer bet, but I've used an H3 in everything and they ran just fine.

Been doing some reading. Thinking of going with a standard buffer to be safe.
