For the British mags you wouldn't want to pay any more than $17. For Canadian Thermolds you shouldn't pay any more than $15-16 and shouldn't chase after but a few. If your after the U.S. made Thermolds (better polymer) you'll be looking at prices in the $22 range.

Kevin are the brit mags ok? Ive got some time to shop around. Do you have any suggestions for 30's and a couple of 20's?

The brit mags work well. Some may require filing of the mag catch to lockup in the magwell, but most dont. They usually come with blackish blue followers. Most people will replace the spring and followers to the green type but they will run as is. They can be found for approx $15 on the EE. The 20's (USGI) can also be found on the EE for about $13-20 each depending on condition.

The Brit' 30's are good mags though I've hard of an occassional bit of polishing/filing on the mag' catch slot. They're a good value and will have a long life if you will take care of them.
USGI 20's are the only way to go; DOA is correct on the price range. |
