I did some searching and didn't find anything.  I was going thru some of my range pickups and this is some very nice looking brass that is boxer primed.  Is it good for reloading?

Thanks

I saw that but it doesn't show that "223 Rem" is also on the headstamp.  This stuff looks pristine...I have a hard time believing that it is surplus.  I guess it could have been polished up and reloaded and then shot again???

Google says Armscor Precision....if that's the case, I wouldn't reload it.

eta:  that would explain the new appearance too

Does Armscor brass have a crappy rep?  What exactly is wrong with it?

Pretty sure its Filipino. I have loaded several cases several times with no problems.

I wouldnt load anything you found laying on the ground. How do you know it hasnt been reloaded 30x and thats why it was left?
If you dont know what it is...its someone elses junk.

IIRC, soft brass and erratic primer pocket sizes.  Guys over on the reloading forum said its bad juju

By the looks of the rims they have not been fired 30 times

I'm just looking to load them up at mild velocities for using at local 3 gun matches since it's next to impossible to recover your own brass.  I'm down to 20 rounds of South African and getting very low on the "tarnished" Guat that I've been using for throwaways.  I'm seriously gonna cry like a baby when that stuff runs out when I think about how little I paid for it back in the day

Yes stay away. I had several issues with loose primers and found out later the primer pocket dimensions were erratic. That and i would not recommend picking up just any brass. I will occasionally ask a guy at the range I see shooting factory ammo if I can have his brass but wont just scrounge around. Granted you can usually tell by gauging the OAL but its just a peeve of mine. Safety thing.

And the worst thing that could happen is when you seat the primer and it
feels too loose, just pop it out and get rid of the brass.

It would be the same procedure for any brass, no matter the make.
It's important to cull bad brass, no matter the problem.
