I like this semi built-in design.

Better than any add-on light mounts.

I was just unaware Samson were going after military contract... or winning them!

Well, Samson have been partnering with ARMS for a long time already. They know all the trade secret.

Seriously?

The bid request for 300+ MRFS Cs specified the offset.
They were delivered last week.

From what I understand, a lot of military units are going away from tape switches on white lights and the offset makes it much easier to hit the push on/off tail caps.

Tape switches are also a liability. There is always the chance of your light going on when you really dont want it to.

Less multiple contact points to activate the light source, less chance to screw up.

I still like a tape switch for IR lights and a thumb switch for white light.
Keeps things simple.

In the heat of the moment, an AD with IR is not as critical if your guys are the only ones with NV.

Tiss true.

Does Sampson make a rifle length version?

There is actually no requirement from Big Green or ANY SOCOM units looking for these type of units. I would not mind getting one to play with, and see how much weight (I am guessing about 27-32 lbs) it can hold before it breaks the weakest part of the rail.

And Tape switch's are not on there was out of anywhere, as a matter fact I had just seen a procurement order for I believe close to 53K units to include tape switch panels and or forward pistol grips.

But to each their own, If that’s how you like to run your KIT, good on ya !

Is there any thread on this forum which references the military where you dont 1.) call the Army "Big Green" 2.) or post correcting what people have said about the military like you know better then everyone?

Besides that, will this off set rail work on any rail or just the Samson?
