Any one have experience with black hole weaponry and their 6.8 barrels? If so what can you tell me about them. Thanks!

Their barrels look nice and they seem to know what they are doing, I just have never seen one or know anyone that has one. I would be interested in seeing reviews on these myself.

I have a 16" 1x8 twist polygonal twist carbine barrel in 5.56 and it is fantastic!  Mine has a satin finish, and will shoot 1 MOA or better.  You will not be disappointed.  It is also easy to clean.

I'll just leave this here. Poly rifling. 2K. I hope they have gotten better in the last year. I'm not going there again.

I have always heard blackhole weaponry was terrible. I watched a youtube video of a guy who did a review on them. Out of the box, his barrel had a half inch of play. As in, the barrel nut was tight but the barrel was loose.

Check out new frontier armory.  They sell bhw barrel equipped uppers and get great reviews.  I have a 16" barrel of theirs and it is awesome (5.56).

I've seen them be hit and miss depending on when they were made and who made it at the time.  I have a 20 inch .223 that is pretty nice, and a 11.5" that has the gas port drilled off center and the chamber still has a ring that wasn't honed out.  Their response?  "Just wrap some sandpaper around a stick and shove it in there a few times."
They had a bad batch of barrel extension a couple years ago that had too small of spaces between the lugs causing issues with bolts fitting and getting stuck in battery.  That's been fixed and the newer ones are much better.  They also had a batch of barrels that were too soft and got shot out at a couple hundred rounds. That's been fixed also.
Being told that 416 stainless isn't any better or more accurate than other steel sort of made me go hmm... then being told that there was another steel, 410 stainless that was just "6 points lower on the chromium scale"  and something else I just blew off after the chromium scale thing.  I hate it when vendors or dealers make shit up.

I have a BHW .300 BLK barrel which has been exeptional. I received excellent service from them throughout the purchasing process as well.

I have a 6.5G barrel from BHW that started to keyhole rounds after maybe 300rds. Tried emailing them, called and left numerous messages on their voice mail with ZERO responses. Their customer service is just as their name implies. A giant void of nothing. There are good barrel companies out there. BHW isn't one of them. Keep looking.

I've had the total opposite experience. Great barrels, and great customer service. My e-mails get responded to within a day or so minimum.

However, from my understanding, this is an improvement. The story I got was this:

- They started out as a very small company. And like most, they got hit hard with orders at the same time and were forced through the growing pains. Communications went south, QC had some issues. Not only that, their parts suppliers (the aforementioned barrel extensions, which I don't think they make) also went south.

- Over the past year, they've been putting more man power and more emphasis on quality and have resolved those problems.

This isn't a unique story. I remember back when this happened to CMMG. Same thing happened, no response to phone/e-mail, big rush at election year, QC went down some. Then they got themselves put back together.

There are other barrel manufacturers out there. WOA, Shilen, Lilja, Kreiger, etc. The main difference is that those barrels are typically ~$400. BHW is a shop that will still do custom orders for <$300.

I currently have two of their recent barrels and a custom third on the way for a .308 project. I am happy with them so far.
