I got a great deal on the captioned barrel through Primary Arms. Received the barrel yesterday and immediately noticed a good amount of rust colored "gunk" throughout the inside of the barrel. The outside of the barrel also has a few pinhead-sized spots randomly throughout (you can kind of see a couple on the feed ramps). This is my first melonite barrel (all others have been chrome lined). I can't imagine this is normal, but figured I'd post to see if any one else has had similar experiences. For those that have melonite/nitride barrels - is this something to be concerned with? Or is this simply a side effect to the manufacturing process?

Here is the link w/ description from primary arms: http://www.primaryarms.com/black-rain-ordnance-16-m4-profile-4150-chromoly-barrels-17-twist-bro-spec-brl-16-cm4150

Any feedback is appreciated - thanks!
