Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Black/Green followers - differences?

A friend gave me an old Colt 30 round magazine yesterday, it has a black follower.  The magazine that came with my gun has a green follower.  What is the difference between the green and the black?

Thanks, that was the one place I didn't look.  I guess I will have to get a green follower.  The mag needs to be refurbed anyway.
