Just wondering about experiences with big bore calibers in a AR10 platform.  I like the .458 SOCOM but I would like a little more powder charge and I'm thinking my Bushmaster BAR-10 might be a good candidate.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your input

Um, you have a couple of choices

338 Federal - not sure who is doing it, but I know it has been done
358 Win - accuracy systems
450 Marlin - accuracy systems
470 Rhino - one made, brass hard to come by
500 Phantom - discontinued (in the US, AR platform)

VandenBerg does the .338 Fed.

And a good job of it, too.

Isn't the 338 a factory offering now?

I believe ArmaLite has the AR-10 in .338 Federal.
