I know that opinions vary, but I'm looking for opinions on the best speed loader for the AR mags.

I 've used a friends Benchloader and that thing is awesome.

VIDEO CLIP

I had no idea they were so expensive at the time.  About $400 from Brownell's [CLICK]

I personally just use stripper clips with no problems.  Place the stripper clip gide (spoon) on the mag lip, place the loaded stripper clip in the spoon and then just push the round into the mag (10 at a time).  You can also use another magazine to help push them in.  Jsut place and "zip"

LULA is pretty fast.  I'd say it's "easy" more than fast.  The night before a shoot sit on the couch and load up about 10 magazines with a LULA.

Come range time = Cha Ching! $$$

How about the Cammenga Easyloader?  Anyone prefer it to the LULA?

DEFINITELY the LULA.

I didn't understand what all the fuss was about until I bought one.

Lula, like said above not for speed nessicerally, but more for ease of use/loading. I own one for both AR-15 and AK-47.

I've used a bench, the second one pictured, strippers, the EasyLoader, and LULA.

I ended up settling on a LULA.

It's not THAT fast (strippers are faster in practice), but they are very easy.

- LULA: Very easy and compact. Can end up denting the cases if you have a very strong mag spring (about the last 20 rounds in a Beta C-Mag). Stays attached to the mag. Great for out in the gravel pit where you don't want to drop anything. Small enough that it fits well into a range bag.

- EasyLoader: I used it for the AK. Holds about 22 rounds in the tray of 7.62x39 so it must be used twice for a 30rd mag. I always had the rounds get bunched up. Since I had to screw with it all the time and due to the size, I sold it and got a LULA for te AK.

- The bench...really cool. But, it's huge.

- Strippers: very fast. And I've cut myself a few times. I got tired of it.

Night before a shoot/competition, I'll load up all my mags, then throw a few extra boxes and the LULA in the bag just in case.

BTW, the LULA pictured at the very top is for an AK/Galil.

I have one of these. DO NOT buy it. It is junk. Go with the LULA, or with stripper clips and a loader. Both are nice to have.

Well, I received my LULA, bought from one of the sponsors of AR15.com, and it works like a charm!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Maglula Benchloader is definitely a cool product but the price is ridiculous.

+1 Lula

in addition to everything said above, the lula  also allows you to unload mags very easily and fast.  i think it is the only one that can unload.  very helpful function.
