What's the best NON-FF railed carbine handgaurd out there?
Things I'm looking for are light weight, and a good sturdy tight fit, and not breaking the bank.
Thanks

Don't like to say anything is the best but YHM M4 carbine stock is an excellent buy.

Sounds like you need a Surefire M73 based on your criteria listed there.

I say checkout the Surefire too!

I'd go for the YHM. Lightweight, sturdy, and less expensive than anything else out there unless you get one of the plastic Fobus units.

Which one tends to be less $$? The M73 or the YHM?? I'm on a budget here, and really want to replace the Fobus one I actually have right now.

YHM tends to be much less than the Surefire unit. Check some of the listings in the equipment exchange from BravoCompany, BrightFlighlights, Legal Transfers, etc.

I believe the YHM can be had for about $100 and the Surefire for about $150.
I happen to have the Surefire and love it, rock solid.

If you want it soon you might have to go w/ the Surefire. Seems everyone is out of the YHM The Surefire is nice but I still can't see it as being over $50 better, especially now that YHM is going to have their rails spec'd out better...
