I am considering a 9mm AR pistol build. It looks like the standard barrel lengths are 5", 6", 7.5", and 10.5".

Is there a barrel length that works particularly well for a 9mm pistol?

Thanks.

check this thread:

There really isn't much velocity gained after 12" barrel with the 9mm.  I think most pepople go with a barrel in the 7.5-10.5" range.  I chose a 7.5" from Spike's.   I would go with a 5.5" if I was planning on using a suppressor.
