What's the differance between these two? I've been buying the SA .308 and it's berdan primed. Is it reloadable? Thanks..

For all practical purposes.....no its not reloadable.

Berdan repriming requires specific tools and primers. They are not common in the U.S.

Boxer primers have one flash hole and the primer contains its own anvil.

Berdan primers have two flash holes and the anvil is built into the brass casing in the primer pocket.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I should stop saving the cases.

Save the brass and sell it for scrap when you get a 5 gallon bucket full. Stuff is pretty heavy and thick for 308 brass.

+1.......Don't discard the brass, use the money from selling it as scrap to buy either more ammo or components for reloading.
