Why the bayo lug on the short pistol uppers? If there is a special bayo modification out there, where can I get one? Not that it has very much practicality.

There was a thread about this subject a while ago. Someone please find it, it's one of the funniest threads ever.

I've been wanting to build a SBR with a 7½" barrel. And I'll order it with a bayo lug.

Now I know on that length barrel the lug almost touches the back of the flash suppressor, but damn it! I wanta' piss off politicians and make them piss their little silk panties.

I know how to weld (I am certified), and I think this looks like a fairly simple progect. Sportsmans Guide has some M7 bayonets for cheap, $15 a piece last I checked, they were pretty good one was perfect with only minor finish wear the othe was bent just enough at the base that it would not work, nothing a little heat from a torch couldn't cure. These would make good candidates for the old chop saw and Mr. Sparky.
