Hi everyone.

I was wondering if it was possible to block a barrel for use with blanks permanently, without having something hideous on the end, like the militart blank adapter. The reason I ask is I'm a bit of a film buff, and, having gun marshal'd before, am thinking about plugging a barrel for use with blanks.

So my question is.  Could I pour a molten metal into the barrel with a stop part way through, and then bore a much smaller release in the blockage?  If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Under no circumstance should you plug your barrel with anything and then fire a blank.  What you need is a "Hollywood" blank firing adapter.  It fits under your flash hider so it doesn't show and is not a permanent thing.  Has a hole through it to allow some gas to escape, but prevents enough to allow the weapon to cycle.  Can't remember where I got mine from, but you should be able to find one by searching the web.  Here's a couple of pics.
