How pissed with a 55gr bullet be if a shot it out of a 1/8 or even a 1/7? Can i do it without the sucker blowing up in air? will it affect accuracy if it doesn't blow up?

Thanks

I shoot 55's out of a 1:7 all the time. They will not "blow up"

cool, just wondering. How light a bullet would it take to come apart due to centrifugal forces? anyone know?

FWIW, I have shot 45 grn Winchester value-box (from Walmart) outta 14.5" w/permFS and 16" 1/7 rifles with no problems.

I would avoid 40grn bullets with light jackets and longer barrel lengths in the 1/7 twist.

well thats definatly not the problem i imagined it would be.

From Ammo-oracle:
You can also overspin projectiles and cause overstability. This results in the not-so-desirable condition that keeps the nose of the round pointed high, as illustrated below:

What affect does this have that makes it not so desireable?
