Any chance of offering chrome-lined barrels with them?
Link Posted: 5/12/2003 2:12:11 PM EDT

chrome lined barrels? hahahahahaha... these guns were already notorious for being less than acceptably accurate. [beathorse]

These guns are dinosaurs. Wjhy buy a carbon fiber anything when you can get an all metal gun that weighs less than 5 pounds and takes all standard AR parts?

What do they plan to do with it now that they got it?

Professional Ordinance? SOunds like a cheesy law firm.

You might want to hand your web designer a dictionary.

I think these new Carbon 15s are kinda cool and interesting myself.  Very sleek and compact.  You could probably carry it under a trenchcoat for situations when the SHTF.  I may just have to get one.  [:D]

[wow] Looks like a good boat gun!

Didn't see, is the bolt SS?

Well , if the BIGGEST AR MFG. in the US
can't make them work, nobody can. [:D]

As I understand,The problem with them was always quality , not design.

might be interested in a 22lr with a full length rail on top.  otherwise, i don't like the looks of the stocks.

*ordnance not ordinance.

looks cool to me. i'd give it a go maybe w/ a bushy superlight 16" barrel and regular front sight post. be really cool if they made it with an integrated rail on the lower part of the handguard.

After being in a shoot out I have seriously considered carrying one of these concealed. Better Bushy than Oly. Can you say "Brand Loyalty"? [:D]

Well I am hoping that they will bring this to the next level.
Work out the problems of needing non standard parts.
With it being carbon, they may be able to work modularity into it ie. AK magazine well, lengthen the lower  for 308 w/fal magazines.
Think about mounting a SIR on one!

I'm drooling at all the possibilities...

HHhhmmm....[:\]

A) I guess business is doing pretty good, if Bushmaster is buying up another company/companies.

B) Wonder what Bushmaster thinks about any new AWB? Expanding business and all. [;)]

I just bought a late model Type 20.  Less 4.1 lbs with optics.

It's been running pretty damn well.  Fun gun, incredibly lightweight.

I have a question

What is the meaning of the phrase "Vote from the rooftops.", from the perspective of a gun enthusiast?
Link Posted: 5/12/2003 10:17:04 PM EDT
[#24]
ADAM_WHITE & Inferno-  Kudos on noticing that!  It frustrates me to see that word spelled like the FRIGGING BRITISH (Pomies!!)  -Explosive Ordnance Disposal (I dispose of Dud Rounds not Dud Statutes)

Mr. Happy- "Vote from the rooftops": Either pissing on people or shooting them, is what I can think of!

Then again maybe I am just a poorly potie trained psycho sharpshooter (Save the "Sniper" label for those who EARN it!)   -William

Okay Bushmaster, I am EVER in search of lighter weapons for various purposes....put a forward assist on those and I am in.  I don't do slicksides and there are a LOT of guys who won't either....but with an FA...a lot of guys WILL be interested.

Good luck with your new product line and keep up the good work...

I purchased a 2002 model type 97 pistol last year before I found this site but I never had a problem with the pistol. I ran about 400rds through it before the company when under and shelved the handgun. I was told by the tech support department for Professional Ordnance that they had worked out alot of issues in the bolt and carrier construction in their lastest rifles and handguns (97 only). The rifles and guns work best with the 30rd Thermold magazines and USGI 20rd mags.

At least if Bushmasters owns the company I believe they will stand by the product.

With as poorly as Pro. Ordnance was doing the last 3 or 4 years, they probably bought the company for next to nothing, litterally, and probably had to assume considerable debt. P.O. has been for sale for some time, nobody wanted it...

This is no indication that Busmaster is doing better than anyone else.

...

wha?

Bushmaster didn't buy ProOrd to prove they're better than everyone else, they bought them to add products to their line... and by the way, assumed liabilities ARE costs, so it didn't cost them "next to nothing".
