Will all back up iron sights be aligned with the standard fixed front sight as a carry handle is?

Yes. You may need to get a +0.040" front post to zero it correctly, but any BUIS will "line up".

Which BUIS do you know of needing a +0.040" front post?  Is the cavarms one good?  The DPMS buis looks pretty good, how is that one?
