I was wondering what the best weight is for a 1/9 16 inch barrel and a 1/7 16 inch barrel would be?
We are planning a trip to W.V in two weeks for a weekend of plinking and I would like to take my two carbines. I was wondering what ammo I should pick up? any help would be great. Thanks, oxfordpony

As noted above the Ammo Faq will answer this question, but as you stated "plinking" in your post, I'd stick with any decent FMJ 55grn. round (M193 style).

My personal choice would be Q3131A as it shoots well in 1/9 or 1/7 twist rifles, but AE 55grn of S&B 55grn rounds aren't too bad and reasonably priced, hell even the Walmart value-box 55grn ammo beats shooting Wolf crap.
