What is the weight difference between the two...

I am looking at the LW, but it's out of stock...

Just wondering if I should go ahead and pull the trigger on the standard 14.5 middy.

Will the LW make that much of a difference...

They both run the same, but the LW will save you a couple ounces out front(maybe 2-3??).  I have both versions of BCM's 14.5" middy myself and if you want to build immediately...I would be totally confident in buying the standard now. It's not a descision you will regret later unless your purpose is to build some sort of super simple lightweight carbine.

When you look at the numbers on paper, its not much difference.  When you handle them both, the difference is quite evident.
