I'm getting my BAR 10 friday.  Need some ammo.  1 in 10 twist.  What is everone shooting for plinking and target shooting?

South African is pretty popular right now and readily available.  PORT and AUSSIE are also good but kind of hard to find.  What ever you find, I would suggest trying to get a few boxes and try it before you buy a thousand rounds or more and find out your rifle doesn't like it.

As for a factory target load, Hornady 168 BTHP has been the most accurate out of my AR10.

Are you looking for blasting ammo or accuracy ammo?

For blasting - South African, Port , Aussie, Lake City (surplus stuff).  Stay away from Indian (quality control issues) and steel jacketed stuff - the BAR10 doesn't have chrome lined bore.

For accuracy - Black Hills, Federal Gold Match or Hornady Match.
