Anybody try this stuff? Is it as good as the "assuie" stuff on stripper clips?
This is going for $120 per 1000 rounds and comes in 20 round paper boxes.
Sould I just stick with the SA battlepacks?

It's not Aussie. It's Argentine ammo that manufactured in Argentina. I've shot thousands of rounds and it is good stuff, but doesn't quite live up to the reputation of aussie.

It's Argy ammo. I beleive it got called "Aussie contract" because the Argy's supposedly used Austrailian equiptment to make them. No different than any of the other Argy ammo in the boxes.

As a side note, you sure can tell who has the better storage procedures for their ammo.

I had a case. Found one bad round. (Corroded) It shot fair. Decent blasting ammo.

Runs just fine in both my G3's, couldnt be happier for blasting ammo

Where are you getting this price from? ($120 for 1000 rounds)

Its from www.ammunitionstore.com. This "special" is not listed on their website, you have to call them. Peace.

I got mone today and ALL the rounds have some corrosion on the rim, nothing on the other parts of the case. Is this a problem?

Corrosion on the case head is normal for the recent argy on the market. Shouldn't be a problem and is not a safety issue since that part of the case is only stressed during extraction of the fired case.

Certain lots shoot better than others, as well the level of tarnish and corrosion can vary with different lots.

My LRB M14 and Tikka .308 shoot it fine. Not as good as Aussie or Port. but it has non-magnetic bullets so it makes the range nazis happy.
