I have been hearing a lot of talk of new AR gas piston uppers but haven't seen any being sold yet. Are any companies making these or selling them?

Kurt from KKF, reportedly, but haven't seen a review yet.

I think Top Crest was selling some of his gas piston uppers at one point. I don't know if he's still doing that though - you might want to search the E.E. for his post.

yep, Forward operating rod/spring, no conventional rear buffer, conventional dirty direct gas impingment.

But NO gas piston, sadly

It's a Morris-type system, not conventional, not as dirty, but not a piston!

Gas piston uppers:

Top Crest was selling some, and I believe the POF is either available or getting close.

I guess the short answer to your question is. No they are not readily available yet.

There is a group buy being organized over on E-E for the weapons we've been testing.

I can't find it. Link?

Damn, I have been wanting some photos of that thing for a long time. This ought to be interesting.

Don't know how to link but it's titled: Leitner-Wise Piston Driven Upper.

I bought one of Topcrest's piston uppers. I've put quite a few rounds through it with no malfunctions. Even shooting the old Wolf crap and the Silver Bear with all kinds of red goo. He used a CavArms chrome bore lightweight 1/9 barrel, and it uses the Predator handguard rail system. It's simple and rugged, not like the gas piston set-ups similar to the HK design. I wouldn't trade or sell it.

Does anyone have any photos of this?

Call POF-USA and get the take on theirs. It should be out very soon.
